The 2020 - 2021 School year will be a year of firsts. Facing the Pandemic and the challenges presented will be interesting to say the least, but our school and teachers are ready for the challenge. We will be developing new and better plans throughout the year to constantly improve and meet the ever-changing demands that this year will bring. We are looking forward to teaching each of our students and look even more forward to being able to have every child in the classroom and normal operations to begin.
In the meantime, we will operate in a manner to promote school safety in regards to our students and teachers while teaching to the best of our ability. Our teachers will be teaching students on an A/B schedule as well as virtually. All of this is new to our students and to our teachers. Both, our students and our teachers will be needing not only the support of our school and school system but the support of our parents and our community. This support is needed for every school in our area.
Vidalia High School will be offering support for all of our students (whether virtual or in-person) and our parents. We will be using a lot of different techniques and methods for instruction with the use of technology during this school year. Please contact the school for questions and keep track of our teacher's office hours to ask questions about your child's education with each teacher.
Our school will be offering teacher office hours from 11:00 to 12:00 on Fridays during our complete virtual days and during each virtual class period that the teacher is teaching. During this time, students will be able to log into google meets and speak with their teacher and ask questions. These links will be distributed by each individual teacher.
Throughout the course of the year, please be aware that our district, our school, and our teachers will be doing the best that we can under the circumstances we face with the resources that we have. Our number one goal is to educate our students to the best of our ability while maintaining an environment that is as safe as possible for our students and teachers.
